Emma Hewitt

Emma Hewitt

Piano

Hi, I'm Emma Hewitt. I have been playing the piano for almost 20 years and teaching since I was a freshman in high school. My studies began in the Suzuki music method and then on to broadening my knowledge with piano literature and recently learning the guitar. Joining the Main Street Music family in the Summer of 2022 has continued my musical passion, and I absolutely love it! Connecting with students on a personal level, adapting to their different learning styles, and seeing the joy on the faces of my students when they master a song is what makes me the happiest. I encourage my students to believe in themselves, and I work to create a positive atmosphere for them to grow and develop their own love of music. Having fun and developing a love of piano is what I want my students to take away from their experience. I also offer two recitals a year for students and encourage them to perform. Most of all, I want them to know it's okay to make mistakes - as long as you learn something from them!
